Hi guys,

Imma graphic designer thats getting into web design. I know this guy that wants me to maintain his business' website (change address, color, font, etc.). Its pretty much all basic html. What I'm wondering though is how do I go about getting all the info I need for the website. Do I just get it from the guy thats currently maintaining the website? Do I need anything from him. Can I just copy the source code from the website and paste it into dreamweaver, that way all I will need is the images? Will I have to change hosts' or servers (not really sure how that works)? I would just like to know what steps I have to take in order to do this.

Hi there,

Yes if you plan on using the current hosting you will need all the hosting details.

If you plan on moving to a new hosting provider then you need access to the domain so you can change the nameservers over to the new ones.
