I'm converting a couple table designs to CSS layouts and with the help of BrowserCam I've got them working correctly in every browser on every platform EXCEPT IE 5 Mac.

Now IE 5 Mac is 4 years old and development on it has ceased. Is it unreasonable to say "Screw it! If you want to use IE 5 Mac I don't care about you!" ?

The company I was working for last year decided 'screw it'. The site still works in Mac IE 5 but it looks terrible in a few places.

Let's be clear here:
INTERNET EXPLORER FOR MAC NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

In June 2003, the Microsoft Macintosh Business Unit announced that Internet Explorer for Mac would undergo no further development, and support would cease in 2005. In accordance with published support lifecycle policies, Microsoft ended support for Internet Explorer for Mac on December 31st, 2005, and is not providing any further security or performance updates.

Accordingly, as of January 31st, 2006, Internet Explorer for the Mac is no longer available for download from Microsoft. It is recommended that Macintosh users migrate to more recent web browsing technologies such as Apple's Safari.
It's been unavailable to download for over a year and hasn't been developed for nearly 4 years. It is, quite frankly, an absolute nightmare to get any reasonable useful css to work in Mac IE 5. Let's also not forget that any Mac user will instantly have access to Safari anyway and don't need to download a new browser, just load another program. People have no qualms telling people not to use IE5 on PC, or not to use less than Firefox 1 anymore, so why should this be any different?

The company I work for, Digital Bungalow, doesn't support IE on Mac. We know that it would limit our possibilities quite a bit if we did support it.

I agree with Marc's company. Vantage Street suports the major 4 (IE6, IE7, Firefox, and Safari). Hopefully, soon IE6 can be eliminated from that list!

I'm an IE5.5 Windows only (IE 5.0 if it's an easy fix), Firefox, Safari and Opera tester.

This depends heavily on what you mean by "support".

My sites tend to function in IE5 mac, but usually are presented differently. Certain design elements may be removed, or allowed to be off by a pixel.

Even correct rendering of the general layout can be an issue with Mac IE5 as the CSS implementation is so poor.

Welcome to the forums by the way!
