I just wanted to make a quick suggestion - a poll of the day, with a different question on it every day - possibly on the home page. It's just cos I like answering random polls.

sounds cool, although someone would have to have a mighty large imagination to come up with a different one each day! Otherwise sounds good!
Maybe a weekly one?

Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of it's own.

I think every day is perhaps a little too frequent! Every week or ever month could work...

I suppose there would be enough web-dev related topics to make that many polls.

we could quite easily set up a subforum and post topic polls in general discussion, or somewhere else. could be quite interesting..

Every week could be frequent enough. We also like to give people the time to answer one and I'm not sure if everyone comes here on daily basis. Nice idea.
