Hi friends,
I have two pictures I'd like to make one. I have a picture of a man I'd like to put over a picture of a flag for a presidential candidate funny. The only way I can think to get him over the flag, though, is to use some sort of "Paint" application and trace around his body, then cut and paste. And I don't want to do that...is there anything that could make it look a little more...I don't know, artistic, rather than the pixilation caused by Paint?
Thanks!

The only way I can image is to carve the man out of his photo and then copy paste him into the new photo. For example Photoshop has tools to make this as easy as possible. If you only have MS Paint, then it's a bit more difficult if not impossible. I'm sure a free software called GIMP can do pretty much the same than Photoshop in this area too so you can try with that. But what I know you got the basic idea right. You must "trace around his body, then cut and paste".

I'm afraid the method you've described is the only way. Professional photo packages such as Photoshop and GIMP simply make it easier to do what you're suggesting, allowing you to blur and blend the edges you've cut out more effectively. I'm afraid it takes patience and a little practice to get proficient at it!

This is precisely what I would've suggested too.

I doubt, however good it is, that it's better than Photoshop. This is something that professionals are often paid to do, so I wouldn't expect any piece of software to solve this problem magically for you!

Still, anyone can try Imagic for free, if it works (or does anything that other popular graphics packages don't) then let us know.

Depending on what background the person is currently on, you might be able to make an alpha mask instead of cutting the person out by hand.

I agree.. using paint you have very limited options.. You better use a software like photo shop to implement Alpha mask effects.

Use Photoshop.. use the Polygon Lasso Tool to trace around the silhouette of the figure you want to use.. that way you will be able to eliminate the views that you do not want to include in your new image..

hope this helps..
