It happens every once in a while ... my server isn't the absolute greatest...
Someday, I'll be bumping up to a dedicated server, and these problems will go away.

What is a dedicated server? Isn't every server dedicated to ... uhm.. serving as a host?
Or is that just what a very good host is called, in compare to a shaky, non-dedicated one?

Dedicated as in: An entire computer/server that hosts only the sites I put on it.
Currently,
is hosted on a VPS (which is a virtual private server). Meaning, along with the other 15 sites I host, there are hundreds of others that aren't mine, sharing the same server's resources.
