Looks good. I personally wouldn't put it on my desktop, because I'm really particular about what I put on my desktop, but I definitely think others would. Definitely nice work!

edit: by that I mean, I'm not a deep red guy. I prefer blues and greens or greys. Or even white (haku means white!). The design is great though!

It's look nice. But you can crop the dark color around the basic image.

Good Luck!

Not bad at all,

If I could just make a few points though. The range of tones you have used makes it difficult to use this image as wallpaper- there is white and near black present; this will cause visibility problems for text in certain area of the screen. If I were you, I'd narrow the tonal range (turn down the contrast). This can be done in Adobe Photoshop with the Curves (CTRL M) or Levels (CTRL L).

Also the colours are good, but designers may shy away from them as they will distract and distort any other colours on screen, i.e. artwork/project work. Subtle blues and greys are a better choice for us fussy type. :hammer:

All the best with future designs.

Thanks for all your kind responses!

Thanks for the advice, jamesmiddz. I will consider contrast more next time. If you want it in a different color, you can do it yourself very easily ;)

Yeah I quite like this. It's a little too square for me personally, but that doesn't take away from the design.

Extremely good points by jamesmiddz.
