Which programming language do you want to use? PHP or ASP?
You can even just use a simple .htaccess script. To password protect a directory.

You cant create one using basic html / dreamweaver.

You need either a dynamic language. Or by using htaccess as previously mentioned. If you have some sort of control panel insatlled (such as cpanel) it comes with a function where you can password protect any folder you want.

Hi,

Hopefully this question hasn't been answered yet but I'm interested in creating a login page my customers. The catch is I'd like to show their information when they login, i.e. not a general page.

Is there a tutorial or good resource that I can look at to review a step by step process on how to create a single login page but shows a different page depending on what user it is?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

LCDSI

ps. I am using dreamweaver cs3 and have had limited exposure creating login pages.

w3schools.com is a good place to start.. it's a very organized tutorial (not a video tutorial, though) for web developers like us..
