It might be useful to have a subforum/section where content development can be discussed. It is an integral part of web development, just like graphics, user interface decisions and the technical matters. I believe there are some interesting things that can be discussed there and those who develop content for the web can learn from such a collection of topics.
I realised the importance when I decised to return the personal website into my web presence. I noticed the biggest challenge was not technical, but rather the increasingly difficult question of what content fits a personal site in 2010 now that most of that content has converged towards social networking sites.

Hi Rob. As you've pointed out this is an interesting issue nowdays, with social media sites allowing us to share news, thoughts and topics with friends, family and peers and obviously with forums like this one allowing people with a common interest to come together for discussion. I would say the only use for a personal website now would be if you had a lot of content to write, or if you just wanted a small static section on the web for people to find you by - for whatever reason.
As for adding a section for this - I guess we can see how this discussion goes and go from there. Usually we wait until an existing forum gets busy enough that we feel the need to create a new one and separate the topics.

That is a very pertinent topic and I agree with Karl, until there is enough discussion to warrant a new subforum.
Until that point - I believe the best place to discuss content development would be under the Search Engine Optimization forum.
