I want to learn web-development but i don't have that much patience that i can sit and read a big-fat book. Is there anyway that i don't have read big-fat books? I really want to learn web-development.

You don't need big and fat books. You can just research them and read ebooks instead.

www.w3schools.com is a good tutorial site.. easy to understand and very organized..
